JAMMU, JANUARY 12 – The Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranti.

In his message of felicitations, the Governor observed that festivals are an important component of our glorious composite cultural heritage which strengthens the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood, amity and secular ethos. He urged the people to celebrate these festivals in harmony with the high plural traditions of the State.

Wishing the people a Happy Lohri and Makar Sankranti, the Governor prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
